"I found a new spot for craft cocktails in Miramar where the Malahat Spirits Co. distillery has officially started serving drinks featuring its own products. They've extended their hours (Thursday 4 p.m.–9 p.m., Friday–Saturday noon–9 p.m., and Sunday noon–5 p.m.), and while you can stop by anytime during regular hours for a cocktail or a tasting flight, reservations are required for a full cocktail experience. The spirits lineup includes black tea rum, ginger rum, spiced rum, vodka, bourbon, and rye whiskey. The cocktail program — created by Trevor Bowles (Neighborhood, Soda & Swine) and Andrew Cordero (Noble Experiment) — includes daiquiris made with house rums, a rotating beer cocktail made with local beers produced within a five-mile radius of the distillery, and both refreshing and direct drinks; both Bowles and Cordero will be behind the bar as the program ramps up." - Candice Woo
