"I read that a Bushwick fire damaged the building at 1271 Myrtle Avenue (near Hart Street) that houses Bossa Nova Civic Club, a ground-floor nightclub; the owners discovered the upstairs fire but it had grown too large to contain, one resident was left in serious condition and many others were left without housing, the building sustained significant damage and the venue expects to be closed for a notable amount of time, and a GoFundMe has been launched to raise money for the building’s tenants, staff, and the bar." - Luke Fortney
