"Opening Saturday, October 31, this new 800-square-foot cafe at 24 E. 14 Mile across from White Wolf Patisserie features a pandemic-friendly walk-up window and indoor seating. Partners Trevor and Miranda Graham, who have been roasting beans together for several years, use a Dätgen roaster from Turkey and will sell their coffee by the bag as well as wholesale to other restaurants and cafes. The drink menu blends classic third-wave offerings with playful options such as espresso and tonic, frozen lattes, frozen cider, and the Draper (espresso with brown sugar syrup, orange bitters, and a cherry garnish). Pastries are provided by Cannelle by Matt Knio. This is the first project from Tech & Mortar Hospitality Group (operators Dennis Weiss, Jeff Bianca, and Brian Piper), which is also planning Weiss Distilling Co., a tasting room on the same block slated to open next spring with its distillery license in final review. The cafe will be open daily, 7 a.m.–3 p.m. Monday–Saturday and 7 a.m.–1 p.m. Sunday, with both inside service and the walk-up window available." - Brenna Houck
