"Projected opening: Mid-2025. The beloved Southwest Detroit sandwich operation run by Ahmad and Mike Nassar — long known for a trailer parked outside a gas station on Fort Street alongside I-75 — is opening a permanent location in Oakland County inside the former Madison Club Bar and Grill (build-out handled by Siwek Construction). In the interim the team is operating a truck in the parking lot. The completed spot will include ample indoor seating and patio space and will continue its all-halal menu of cheesesteaks, seafood po-boys, and shawarma wraps, as well as its popular garlic cilantro fries served with the eatery’s jalapeño ketchup; drinks will include homemade strawberry lemonade." - Serena Maria Daniels
