"The Smith Tower recently reopened the Observatory for food and drinks after a fall shutdown, offering a 3 p.m.–6 p.m. happy hour that includes bento boxes, beer, champagne, wine, and cocktails, plus an option to order takeout drinks for curbside pickup. The space must follow COVID rules for indoor dining — masking when not eating or drinking and capacity limited to 50 percent — and has instituted additional sanitation measures. Built in 1914 and once the tallest building west of the Mississippi, the Smith Tower remains one of Seattle’s most recognizable historic landmarks and now functions as an events space in addition to housing offices." - Gabe Guarente
