"A new cafe in the Convoy District revolves around fresh, fruity tea-based drinks and savory Asian snacks: Yun Tea House replaces mango dessert chain Hui Lau Shan in the Convoy Village Shopping Center and pays tribute to Yunnan province—its brand character “Yun” means “cloud,” and cloud decor ties into the theme. All beverages start with freshly brewed teas—roasted oolong, gyokuro (Japanese green tea), and ceylonmathus (Ceylon blend with floral hints—and range from milky teas and icy tea slushies to cloudy teas with cheese foam and Yakult-based tea drinks blended with real fruit; strawberry matcha and watermelon cream are two bestsellers, with toppings like boba pearls or aiyu jelly. The menu also includes Formoosa’s pork rice bowl and the cute animal-shaped dessert buns from Steamy Piggy, plus dim sum such as barbecue pork baozi, shumai, and har gao, sweet waffles, and a variety of ramen including a no-broth mazemen topped with ground pork, a soft-cooked egg, and chopped scallions. Yun Tea House is the fourth Convoy District opening for SDB Restaurant Group." - Helen I. Hwang
