"Operating full-time from a breezy Sunset Boulevard storefront in Silver Lake, Azizam—founded in 2021 by Cody Ma and Misha Sesar—feels like a Persian pop-up done right: the fast-casual setup makes it ideal to swing in anytime from noon to 10 p.m., and I like to bring a friend or a good book and settle into a mazeh (meze) plate that comes with barbari bread and a choice of two small cold dishes; the smashed green olives and wild shallot yogurt dip are fabulous. For heartier appetites I recommend the braised beef and rice meatballs or the turmeric-braised chicken, and the house-made Napoleon makes for a not-too-sweet finish." - Eater Staff
