"New York City import Gregorys Coffee, which debuted in D.C. last fall, is about to open its third — and biggest — location to date downtown. But it’s nowhere near done with expansion plans for the year. The new Gregorys Coffee shop at 1147 20th Street NW, currently projected to open on Tuesday, February 27, is huge (2,800 square feet) in order to accommodate a bakery and training center on the mezzanine level, as well as the cafe in the front of the house. Founder Gregory Zamfotis is on the prowl for more D.C. spaces, telling Eater he hopes to open another two to three shops by the end of 2018. Two existing locations are currently keeping 9-to-5 workers caffeinated at 1000 Vermont Avenue NW and 1900 L Street NW; a fourth is slated to come online this spring at Farragut North Metro (1101 Connecticut Avenue NW)." - Tierney Plumb
