"I noticed that the subterranean Dunkin' kiosk inside the Government Center T station — a mainstay that shuttered five years ago when the station closed for renovations — appears to be on the verge of reopening. In a part of the city where Dunkin' is impossible to avoid (Google Maps shows at least 21 locations inside the scalene triangle formed by TD Garden, Tufts Medical Center, and the New England Aquarium), this outpost will be literally underground; Twitter user @HannieDoo was among the first to point out that it sits beneath another Dunkin'. The MBTA announced in March 2017 that the kiosk would be making a comeback, but progress has been slow even though the station's reopening was on schedule and on budget. New shiny signage — notably dropping “Donuts” to match the company’s rebrand — indicates the plan remains intact, though the company hasn’t announced a timeline yet, and soon the Coolatta-swilling masses may once again be able to grab their morning treats while packed into a Blue Line or Green Line train." - Terrence Doyle
