"I learned that four people were critically injured after a 79-year-old woman crashed her car into Enzo’s on Sunday night, injuring nine people in total; police have charged Roseanne Cassano of Yonkers with driving while intoxicated, and surveillance video shows that around 7:45 p.m. she reversed her red sedan, clipped a white minivan, then continued into the restaurant. Enzo’s is an Italian stalwart in Mamaroneck that’s been around for more than 35 years, serving fare from all over Italy—like Florentine steak and pasta e fagioli—alongside Italian‑American classics. Luciano Savone, an Italy native, started out as the restaurant’s chef and became the owner in 1997. In the wake of the crash the front of the restaurant is now covered in plywood; the names of the injured have not been released, Cassano has been released on bail, and she is due in court Thursday." - Stefanie Tuder
