"Located on the Stratosphere's main casino floor, the 4,465-square-foot Strat Café & Wok is a new 24-hour restaurant offering a blend of comfort food and Asian fare with decor contributed by local artists on the walls. Corporate executive chef Johnny Church and Stratosphere assistant executive chef Andrew Bateman created a menu that spans breakfast through late-night: breakfast items start at $9 (lemon poppy seed pancakes; cornflake-crusted French toast stuffed with peanut butter and mixed berry compote; three eggs any way with bacon, chicken apple sausage, turkey bacon, golden hash-mash potatoes, and a choice of toast, fresh biscuit, or English muffin). Starters and diner favorites such as fried calamari with sweet peppers and marinara, a lobster Cobb salad with chopped lobster, romaine, hard‑boiled egg, diced tomatoes, avocado and special sauce, and the double-double hangover burger with bacon, fried egg, American cheese, special sauce and a brioche bun start at $8, while entrées from $14 include a seven-layer lasagna with Bolognese and white wine sauce, bacon-wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes and maple-glazed roasted baby carrots, and pan-seared chicken breast with ratatouille. Asian wok dishes are available from 11 a.m. to midnight starting at $7 and include beef chow fun (beef, rice noodles, mushrooms, bean sprouts, onions and Guangdong oyster sauce), Hunan-style orange chicken, Mongolian beef with shaved flank steak and sambal, and spicy peppered prawns with breaded shrimp, red Fresno chilies, jalapeño and Sichuan sauce. The menu emphasizes generous portions, hospitality, and 24/7 takeout availability." - Susan Stapleton
