"Making its West Coast debut in West Hollywood, Cha Cha Matcha offers an Instagram-ready space—neon-lit puns, palm trees, and pop art—and on-trend drinks centered on Japanese-sourced matcha green tea. Founders Conrad Sandelman and Matthew Morton, the latter of whom grew up about 10 minutes away and says it’s always been his dream to open in LA, present a menu with special blends like the Lavender CBD Matcha, the Collagen Blue Algae Latte, and the Beautiful Latte (collagen, ashwagandha, honey, bee pollen, and vanilla), plus small bites such as avocado toast, vegan waffles, and soft-serve ice cream. I note the chainlet already has three Manhattan locations and plans a second LA outlet on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, and that the opening includes a collaboration with Virgil Abloh featuring California-inspired apparel and compostable packaging—plus a complimentary limited-edition Abloh sweatshirt for the first 100 customers.
