"It seems that Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen restaurant is the height of Vegas dining right now, with people dressing up to the nines and waiting in line to eat at this real life version of the TV cooking competition show. The food consists mostly of Ramsay’s classics, like a very good, if slightly boring, beef Wellington, as well as some nicely seared scallops with lardons. The cocktails aren’t bad either, especially the Smoke on the Boulevard, a negroni variant that comes with a bit of a show. Overall the food and experience will appeal to Ramsay fans, but the cuisine won’t be particularly remarkable. Think of Hell’s Kitchen as the perfectly brand-able Ramsay restaurant that could very well show up anywhere in the world, from Orlando to Anaheim to Dubai. Caesars seems to be banking hard on the whole reality show thing, with Vanderpump Cocktail Garden opening soon on the property. Love it or hate it, it’s hard to argue that it is a great marketing strategy." - Cathy Chaplin
