"Big Sur Bakery, a staple of the Big Sur community, was destroyed in a fire. It had been serving tourists with almond croissants and take-home jars of jam for decades. The fire occurred on May 3, and while there were no injuries, the cause remains unknown. Owner Blaise Godbe Lipman plans to rebuild at the Loma Vista property." - Paolo Bicchieri
