"Starting in early August, chef Giorgio Rapicavoli—of Eating House and Luca Osteria—will take the helm at Mayfair Grill inside Mayfair House Hotel & Garden in Coconut Grove and introduce a sharing-style menu. Highlights listed include Avocado “Caprese” with Florida burrata, purple basil, and citrus vinegar; Sebastian Inlet Clams with white beans, chorizo dashi, and grilled bread; Jalapeño Pesto Green Pasta with stracciatella, Florida basil, and cashew; Lobster Ravioli with thermidor sauce, brandy, shallot, and citrus; Chicken with cilantro salsa verde and grilled lime; and Prawns with preserved lemon and Calabrian chili. Rapicavoli says he wants Mayfair Grill to be the go-to spot in the Grove—a welcoming space where the food speaks for itself—and the relaunch will roll out in phases, with daily dinner and happy hour starting in August, expanded weekend brunch and lunch in October, and full dining service by the end of that month.
