Vegan Dim Sum Truck PlowBao Is Now Open in East Austin - Eater Austin

"PlowBao is a vegan dim sum truck located at Govalle's Buzz Mill Shady, offering a fully vegan menu inspired by owner Joyce Ni's grandmother's recipes. The menu includes vegan dumplings, shu mai, crab rangoon, and a regularly changing larger entree such as soup with shrimp balls. PlowBao uses fake meats from Beyond Meat and sources other vegan products from All Vegetarian, Inc. The truck was opened with the help of Crop Seed, part of the vegan food-service company Plants Lead Our Way, co-owned by Isaac Mogannam. PlowBao is part of the Plow Burger family, alongside PlowBQ and JNL Barbecue.
