"Inside the Copley Square Hotel at 90 Exeter Street, the glitzy new restaurant, bar, and entertainment venue aims to keep diners hooked for the whole night by combining lively music, fancy food, and inventive cocktails. The space is split into three distinct areas: a supper club overseen by chef Barnett Harper that serves what the owners call “American food with Asian flair” — dishes include whole fried red snapper with sweet and sour sauce, salt and pepper shrimp, and confited duck leg — a speakeasy-style bar pouring playful cocktails like a tequila New Old Fashioned and the photogenic Resting Spritz Face (pinot grigio, soda, peach puree, and strawberries), and the lobby-level Rose Bar. The ownership team has locked in a live music license and plans to introduce jazz performances while honoring the address’s Storyville past with a ProBlak mural of jazz legends; there will also be a late DJ and bottle service, but they’re clear they want the concept to remain food- and cocktail-focused rather than a nightclub. I appreciate that they’re positioning Hue for both hotel guests and local residents — especially newer tech workers — and that the supper club and speakeasy will initially be open Thursday through Sunday (reservations available)." - Erika Adams
