"Owned by former Cafe Intermezzo CEO William Pitts, this all-day restaurant at Colony Square (opening Friday, December 10) offers a flexible, tech-forward dining experience where guests can move freely through the space — beginning with drinks on a patio by a fire pit or coffee on indoor couches, moving to a table for a full meal, and finishing with a nightcap at a central bar. Smartphone-based location technology, rather than fixed server assignments, routes food and drinks to wherever diners sit and is planned to evolve to allow preorder-to-table service. The dining room is anchored by a central bar with face-to-face seating and a stone fireplace and also features dining nooks, three half-moon booths, and casual seating areas; the large patio includes tables and booths with individual heated seats. Breakfast highlights include Southern ham benedict, sweet and savory Dutch baby pancakes, and bruleed brioche French toast; lunch centers on soups, salads, burgers, and sandwiches; dinner offerings include a glazed bone-in pork chop and cast-iron seared yellowfin tuna. Desserts feature a baked apple-crumble Dutch with vanilla ice cream and tableside s’mores. The beverage program includes cocktails, non-alcoholic mixed drinks, local beer and wine, several coffee preparations, and creative hot chocolates (for example, a cookies-and-cream hot chocolate with milk and white chocolates, whipped cream, and crumbled Oreos). Open daily 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., it sits within a revitalized Colony Square development accessible via the Arts Center and Midtown MARTA stations (Arts Center is closer)." - Beth McKibben
