"Opened in October 2017 in Hyde Park and closed in March, this barbecue restaurant was the pit-master’s project whose recipes were personally developed by the owner. After the owner relocated to Denver and was less able to oversee day-to-day operations, maintaining consistent quality became difficult, which contributed to the restaurant’s decline and eventual shuttering; the closure also marked the end of his Chicago barbecue ventures, following an earlier closure of his original Rogers Park location and the winding down of barbecue retreats he ran in Wisconsin." - Ashok Selvam
