"At the all-new Hilton Garden Inn on Décarie, I discovered Blandino, a pasta-twirling, aperitivo-serving restaurant named for Montreal artist Carmelo Blandino—whose work decorates the side of the building—and open since July 27. The luxe, marbled dining room by Atelier Zébulon Perron feels hotel-chic, and the menu is full of Italian classics: semolina-encrusted calamari, Milanese cutlets, and ricotta gnocchi served for lunch or dinner. With a 7 a.m. start the restaurant also handles hotel breakfasts—think lox, overnight oats, or an Italian twist in panettone French toast—and the hotel plans to add a Mexican spot called Pancho Taqueria in the fall." - Valerie Silva
