"With the exception of successful nightclub Public Records, Gowanus hasn’t crescendoed with a nightlife scene. But perhaps a new natural wine bar can help that reputation some. Liar Liar opened recently in a space that has been several restaurants over the years. Now, it’s an effortless, natural wine bar that also serves food. It comes from Mateo Simo, who owns Bad Luck Bar in Bed-Stuy; Gabi Gimson, who worked for natural wine importer, Steven Graf Imports; Andrew Goss, a DJ; and bartender Reed Yarber.
