"Boarded up after a mid‑August blaze, Rooftop Brew Co. in Interbay was operating as a pop-up sale where patrons bought beer and merchandise salvaged from the damage while the business’s future remained uncertain. Owner Craig Christian said the fire did extensive damage, destroying their brewing grains, prompting considerable looting, and forcing him to lay off most of his staff; he has set up a GoFundMe to help employees and restart the business. The team hopes to contract brew with other Seattle breweries (including Old Stove) to keep brewing staples — Azotea Mexi Lager, Stargazer IPA, and Tropical Staycation IPA — and to try to salvage what they can of the missed fresh‑hop season (they had four fresh hops planned). Community support has been strong, with former staff helping at the fundraiser and many customers donating and offering encouragement." - Brianna Gunter
