"This Henderson Avenue spot quickly shot to the top of our favorite new restaurants list. The burger features a double-patty smash burger with cheddar cheese, served with caramelized onions, pickles, and a jerk aioli with the mildest of kicks. Available for lunch and dinner, it typically costs $18 and is worth every penny, but during happy hour (which runs on weekdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.), it’s $9. The accompanying fries, sliced to the precise point between skinny- and steak-sized, are sprinkled with seasoning that offers a twang. The restaurant, awash in peach and brass, is usually popping, even at lunch, with a soundtrack of ‘00s R&B faves and solid gold classics. Vibe check: As cool and upscale as this place is, giant stuffed teddy bears are everywhere. It’s their thing, and we’re doing our best not to be weirded out by it. You can ask your server to move it if one is too close (they’re always too close)." - Courtney E. Smith
