"At Seaport Buffet in Sheepshead Bay, I learned the attack occurred shortly after 5 p.m. while customers were inside; the assailant allegedly entered with a hammer, told a Latino staffer he would be safe before targeting Asian staffers, and reportedly told police, “Chinese men are awful. They hold their women captive.” The assault left chef Fufai Pun, part-owner Tsz Mat Pun, and manager Thang Ngall dead of blunt-force injuries to the head, created a gruesome scene, and the accused, Arthur Martunovich of Sheepshead Bay, now faces multiple charges including first-degree murder and second-degree murder as a hate crime and is also accused of attacking police after his arrest." - Serena Dai
