"Lower Haight pub/restaurant The Lodge on Haight is currently closed with an Alcohol and Beverage Control notice of suspension on its window at 400 Haight Street. Eater SF has reached out to The Lodge for comment and awaits a response. The business had its type 41 beer and wine license suspended on February 20, not due to a disciplinary action on the part of the ABC, but at the request of the Board of Equalization, which collects California’s taxes and fees for the sale of fuel, alcohol, tobacco, and more. The pub, popular for its mac and cheese, burgers, and beer selection, opened in 2016, replacing former tenant RickyBobby. On its website, The Lodge announced a temporary closure for the first week of February for seismic retrofitting. The note told customers it would reopen on February 7. While the license suspension is essentially indefinite, according to an ABC spokesperson, it could be lifted once matters with the Board of Equalization have been sorted out. Stay tuned for any developments." - Caleb Pershan
