"At a downtown global barbecue restaurant run as a partnership between Ayesha Curry and chef Michael Mina, I watched them host a star-studded Presidents’ Day dinner for Barack Obama — an event Mina called “No greater privilege than to cook for this man on Presidents’ Day” on Instagram. Opened in late 2017, the restaurant explores their collective vision of how different cultures use fire, grilling, and smoke to create flavorful dishes, with a menu that ranges from St. Louis–cut ribs and Punjabi fish fry to items Chrissy Teigen singled out as favorites, like Thai curry cornbread and baked oysters; it was even running a Chinese New Year special menu (complete with lanterns) during the visit.
