"Two Southwest Detroit locals, Julie and Jason Stevens, are turning their catering business into a permanent Guanajuato-style taqueria in the North End, previewing the menu through neighborhood pop-ups and bar appearances. The menu blends traditional Guanajuato dishes with Detroit-influenced options, featuring frijoles charros, Mexican sandwiches, beef and chicken tacos, and vegan choices like spinach enchiladas. Partnered with building owner Steven Harris, the venture will emphasize takeout service while offering a mix of indoor seating and outdoor seating in an adjacent steel shipping container, with an opening expected within the next three months." - Brenna Houck
