Lokal closes in Wicker Park after 10 Years of boozy brunches - Eater Chicago
"After a decade of boozy brunches and more in the heart of Wicker Park, the mimosas stopped flowing at Lokal. The restaurant and lounge at 1904 W. North Avenue was a brunch destination before the neighborhood had many boozy daytime options. Serving “Euro-inspired comfort food,” it also was popular for DJ parties and late nights of drinks, as well as dinner services. It had been open since 2009. Owner Art Wnorowski says that his lease expired and that “we couldn’t come to favorable terms with the landlord.”" - Daniel Gerzina
