"Set to open July 1 for takeout and outdoor dining inside Dutch Kills at 27-24 Jackson Avenue near Dutch Kills Street, Troppo Stretto — the NYC outpost of LA sandwich maker E Stretto — will launch with a pared-down version of the LA menu that still includes LA favorites like the Ill Papa (three kinds of sliced meats, manchego cheese, and house-made giardiniera), the Deli Boy (mortadella, mustard, and pepper jack), and the Spicy Salami (Calabrian chile spread, arugula, and chives). I was told they’ll also offer a handful of salads and plan to add brunch service with breakfast sandwiches and burritos in the near future; the counter will be open daily from 11 a.m. until food runs out, the first 100 customers on July 1 will get free sandwiches, and owners Joel Miller and Dave Fernie emphasize executing their LA approach by avoiding vanity ingredients and focusing on proper seasoning." - Tanay Warerkar
