"I've learned that Zeppola Italian Bakery, launched in Midtown Manhattan in 2020 as a side project of the Numero 28 restaurant group, is moving into the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian and bringing an appropriately Italian-inspired sweet-and-savory menu to the resort’s casual dining scene. The new outpost replaces an unnamed, empty bakery space and takes advantage of the original occupant’s construction overhaul, though Zeppola did not offer a precise location within the shopping mall. While the East Coast locations are awaiting restrictions to lift before returning to full service, Zeppola currently offers delivery and takeout that includes spinach, egg, and cheese focaccia, square slices of pizza, sandwiches, bombalone, cannoli, namesake zeppole pastries, and a range of hot and cold beverages; an estimated debut date for the Venetian location has not been revealed." - Bradley Martin
