"On Greenfield Road in Dearborn, Kings Bakery (4618 Greenfield Rd.)—the 55-seat bakery known as the “home of the manouwich,” featured on Ugly Delicious—has traditionally been busiest during Ramadan with long lines for its manouwich (17 varieties) and maneesh (44 options) and a schedule that runs 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and midnight to 4 a.m. for suhoor; since the pandemic it has lost 60 to 70 percent of business and laid off staff.
