"There aren’t many, if any, OG spots left on the Sunset Strip, which continues to tear down and rebuild iconic establishments (RIP Viper Room). But this standout neighborhood cocktail bar pushes against that by celebrating LA history. Not only has it repurposed the space formerly occupied by the same talent agency that represented Marilyn Monroe, but it serves up cocktails that spotlight the city’s past and present. Bar director Brynn Smith crafts compelling, fun cocktails, such as a Hustler Hollywood lychee martini highball and a Garden of Allah gin and tonic. Those looking for a bite will have to look elsewhere. But even though Bar Next Door doesn’t serve food, it does allow people to bring food in, such as pizza from next door’s Prince Street Pizza." - Caroline Pardilla
