"Tucked between Saddle Ranch Chop House and Carney’s on Sunset Boulevard, I found Doughbrik’s Pizza, the first restaurant from YouTube creator David Dobrik, which opens on November 12 at 8363 Sunset Boulevard. Dobrik partnered with Lemonade founders Alan Jackson and Ian Olsen and collaborator Ilya Fedorovich to bring the pizzeria to life; the menu leans Chicago-style with two crusts available by the slice or whole pie — a cracker-thin, square-cut Chicago tavern-style crust and a focaccia-like “doughy” base. Pies range from straight cheese and pepperoni to vegetarian and Hawaiian, with a meat lovers and a Chicagoan that features a three-cheese blend, Italian herbs, garlic, pepperoni, Italian sausage, and a hot giardiniera mix; a hot honey drizzle and breadsticks with dipping sauces are offered as extras. Slices are no more than $6.50 and whole pies run $28–$38. Drinks include sodas and slushies, and the dessert menu offers ice cream scoops such as Blue Moon, chocolate, and vanilla. The restaurant occupies a former Starbucks and retains dine-in patio seating, will keep late weekend hours to serve club and bar crowds, and Dobrik and Fedorovich have scattered Easter eggs and surprises throughout the space. A spokesperson lists hours as Sunday–Wednesday 11 a.m.–10 p.m. and Thursday–Saturday 11 a.m.–3 a.m. The spot is tied to Dobrik, a controversial figure who is the subject of a pending lawsuit over a 2020 stunt and whose Vlog Squad has faced sexual assault allegations." - Mona Holmes
