"After letting its dough rise and rest for 96 hours, this place serves up one of the best pizza crusts in town. The crust is crispy yet soft, and comes with “pizza bones” dipping sauces, which are a must to savor every bite. When the crust is this good, there’s not a lot of need to get crazy with toppings, so Pie Tap doesn’t. A solid pepperoni, sausage, salami, or veggie pie will do the trick. Heading in for brunch to try the smoked salmon pie with Icelandic smoked salmon, ricotta, dill, and house-cured eggs is also a great idea. With three locations in Dallas, as well as Addison, McKinney, and Frisco, there is probably a place nearby — and these pies travel well. The drinks are excellent, and we give a special nod of approval to the espresso martinis, if you choose to stay. Vibe check: This is a great spot to bring the kids — the restaurant provides them with some pizza dough to play with. All its locations are relaxed and make for a great low-key daytime hang; it gets even more fun in the evenings, meaning it’s a solid choice for an easy date night or friend reunion." - Courtney E.
