"Opening today, November 9, at 135 Greene Street at Christopher Columbus Drive in Downtown Jersey City, the new Whole Foods is a 51,000-square-foot store with a coffee bar, a roster of prepared foods, and more than 1,000 local products sourced from the Northeast; this particular location works with 12 local farms, offers 200 kinds of cheeses, and stocks local items like Paper Plane Coffee, Brooklyn Cured charcuterie, and Black Seed Bagels. The interior design is inspired by the city’s love of art, featuring images of the Hudson River nearby, and the shop runs a dedicated van to pick up rescued food for community organizations in need; the location is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and is part of Whole Foods’ network of more than 500 stores in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K." - Melissa McCart
