"Based in Burlingame, the 90-year-old It’s-It Ice Cream manufacturer—the maker of the famed regional treat It’s-It—is releasing its first new product in 20 years: Chips-It. Chips-It is a version of the classic It’s-It ice cream cookie sandwich made with chocolate chip cookies instead of oatmeal cookies and without the chocolate coating; longtime fans will recognize it as a spinoff of an earlier extra-large cousin sold in big packages, but events and marketing manager Justin Shamieh insists it is “a brand new product, a totally new recipe, and a new size.” Although the company has introduced new flavors like pumpkin in recent years, this is the first entirely new product the company has sold in two decades, and the rollout is timed for July Fourth novelty needs with the item expected “in the coming weeks.”" - Caleb Pershan
