"At the Brooklyn outpost of Alamo Drafthouse I found a mix of blockbusters, quiet indie fare, cult favorites, and frequent hosted screenings and Q&As; the theaters have comfortable assigned seating with two-seat shared tables and servers who take orders before and during the movie using order cards. The menu highlights include reasonably priced snacks like popcorn, buffalo cauliflower, and loaded fries, entrees with gluten-free and vegan options, a range of drinks including boozy milkshakes, and rotating themed menus. The theater enforces a strict no-texting, no-talking policy, but its “Alamo For All” program makes some screenings more accessibility-friendly with lowered sound and lights and allowances for some talking and adaptive technologies. Note that children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult and under-six are admitted only to special screenings, and popular showings often sell out quickly so plan ahead." - Alissa Wilkinson
