"This caterer’s Wednesday-night farmers market stand reminded me of peak rural Virginia produce: the basil‑and‑walnut pesto “dreamwich” revived me after a long day in the sun, stacking the best ruby‑red tomato and crunchy cucumber I’ve tasted this summer, thickly sliced on delightfully fluffy sourdough brioche with microgreens. Tightly wrapped mint brownie and carrot fruitcake squares were just $3 each (and yay for Apple Pay) and held up well the next day. The vendor also serves a cold borscht on her home turf that sounds well worth the drive." - Eater Staff
