"Per reporting I read, the hulking brick Armory at 1800 Mission Street in the Mission District could be renovated into a jazz club and VIP lounge: AJ Capital Partners submitted plans to renovate the interior while keeping the recognizable exterior intact, with the Drill Court continuing as the main venue and a ticketing and waiting area accessible via 14th Street. The proposed jazz venue would sit adjacent to the Drill Court and include a stage, seating, dining area, and a bar. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building was constructed in 1914 as an armory and arsenal, served as a sports venue in the 1920s and ’40s, then sat largely unused for decades before being bought by Kink.com in late 2006 and used for production until 2017, earning the nickname “Kink Castle.”" - Lauren Saria
