Seattle Restaurants Are Offering Visiting Canadian Tourists a Discount, and an Apology | Eater Seattle

"A major tourist-oriented landmark listed among businesses participating in Open Arms for Canada and noted as being owned wholly or partially by Seattle Hospitality Group; for Blue Jays weekend it will accept Canadian dollars and apply an approximate 30 percent discount for visitors who present Canadian ID. The campaign’s website states, “We love our Canadian neighbors. And we regret how our federal government is treating you. We wish we could change what happens in the other Washington,” and adds, “What we can do is show you our thanks for being here.”" - Harry Cheadle
