"Despite only opening last year, it feels like Cocina Mama Cholita has been around for years. The staff is comfortable and confident, specialty plates feel dialed in, and most locals already know their order (enchiladas, mostly). Recipes are inspired by the family’s matriarch, Mama Cholita, who showed her love through sopes, moles, and tamales. For now, tamales need to be ordered by the dozen one day in advance.
