"A Guatemalan sweet shop known for its perfectly flaky pastries will soon open in Uptown Dallas: San Martin Bakery is slated to arrive in the coming weeks at 3120 McKinney Avenue, according to its Twitter account, with an expected opening in mid to late July. Founded in 1974 and operating nearly 40 locations across Guatemala and El Salvador, it has earned a loyal following for pastelitos, empanadas, palmeritas, and French breads.
