"Kimberly and Michael Manning didn’t have any restaurant experience when they decided to open Mack’s Wings in 2019. Kimberly, a former Marine who was working in insurance, and Michael, a former basketball player who was working as an attorney, found an empty storefront at the north end of the historic Greenwood District where they took a chance on wings. Michael developed the recipes but didn’t quit his day job, so you’ll usually find Kimberly behind the counter greeting regulars and fielding orders. The Oklahoma Dry Rub and the Mack (a top secret concoction) are among customers’ favorite toppings, but the menu includes classics like barbecue and lemon pepper too.
