"I'm excited that Timber Pizza Co., Petworth’s critically acclaimed source for crispy, “Neapolitan-ish” pies since 2016, is opening at 192 West Street in Annapolis this summer. Founded by Chris Brady and Andrew Dana (with Chef Daniela Moreira joining early on), the brand began as a farmers market stand with a pizza oven and a ’67 Chevy before debuting its first brick-and-mortar in 2016; the Annapolis spot will be its first true sophomore location outside D.C. The menu will largely mirror the D.C. shop with a rotating list of 12-inch, wood-fired pies (11 white, red, and green varieties at any given time), specialty pies topped with ingredients like cured chorizo, pea shoot pesto, sous‑vide chicken thigh, roasted sweet potatoes, and kale, and best-sellers such as the Pretty in Pepperoni and the Bentley (provolone and mozzarella blend, cured chorizo, soppressata, Peruvian sweet peppers, and spicy honey). Expect wood-fired empanadas, seasonal salads sized for one to four made with local veggies, a bar showcasing Maryland spirits and Annapolis breweries, and a petite dining room with 20-something seats, a copper-topped bar, reclaimed wood furniture, tin elements, and a forest-green Marra Forni oven with bright orange lettering; hours will follow the home base (daily for dinner starting at 5 p.m., lunch Fridays–Sundays)." - Tierney Plumb
