"Originally slated to open last month, I'm excited that Hidden Craft—a new 2,700-square-foot restaurant and beer hall near the corner of Broadway and India Street in the Core-Columbia neighborhood, adjacent to the Santa Fe Depot train station and the One America Plaza trolley stop—is now primed for a June reveal. Owned by Amar Harrag, co-founder of mezcal temple Tahona and its speakeasy Oculto 477, and designed by JG Color Studios, the spot will offer a diverse menu ranging from tacos and burgers to sandwiches and poke bowls and feature 36 self-serve taps pouring a rotating selection of local brews. The space will initially open with takeout and delivery only, launching with a virtual unveiling livestream on Thursday, June 11 at 6 p.m. and a special beer-tasting kit available for pickup; through June the restaurant will also donate a meal to the San Diego Rescue Mission for every takeout or delivery purchased. When dine-in service begins, Hidden Craft plans to host monthly talks with San Diego brewery experts as well as live music, trivia nights, and tasting events." - Candice Woo
