"The best panettone overall in F&W’s taste test is the one by Olivieri 1882 , a bakery with 140 years of history. Now run by the sixth generation of bakers, Olivieri 1882 is located in the Veneto region, but you can find the brand’s panettone at a handful of stores in Rome, including Eataly, Rinascente, Magnifico, Ambrosia, and Gastronomia Ercoli. Though it’s most famous for the classic panettone, the bakery makes a wide variety of flavors, including new ones like the limited-edition dulce de leche and dark chocolate (my personal favorite). If you buy the panettoni in Italy, they cost roughly half as much as they do in the U.S." - Laura Itzkowitz
