"I discovered that securing a seat on the back patio at Frank Family is an appointment-only treat at this longstanding Napa institution founded by Rich Frank (a former president of Disney Studios); tastings occur outdoors or in an updated Craftsman home designed by Erin Martin. Guests can book the Estate Tasting outside ($60), the Craftsman House Tasting indoors ($60), or the Wines of Winston Hill Tasting ($80) which features wines from a single origin; winemaker Todd Graff, who joined in 2003 after a long stint at Schramsberg, produces a broad range of still and sparkling wines.
