Morscher’s Pork Store is Closing

"A longtime neighborhood pork shop that traces its roots to the area’s Gottscheer past, it was purchased in 1975 by Kornel Picioane and is now run by his son Jonel, who started working there as a teenager. After nearby closures it will be one of the few pork stores left in the neighborhood; the current owner says he intends to keep it going for roughly another eight years to support his family before retiring." - Chris Crowley
