"As we approach through winding lanes fringed by sun-dappled hedgerows, we know that this is one of those places that just gets it right. Even with the later additions to the original historic farmhouse making 33 rooms and 4 villas altogether, Locanda Rossa preserves an intimate yet luxurious vibe that had us feeling immediately at home. Set among lush greenery, the hotel’s group of deep red buildings offer the perfect blend of beautifully designed rooms, relaxed lounge areas with outdoor armchairs, and well-manicured gardens to enjoy. The sweeping views take in its 3,800 olive trees and a classic Tuscan landscape beyond, while long, sandy beaches are just a short drive away. Most rooms have a private roof terrace or garden, so guests have a real sense of privacy, tranquility and space. With 2 outdoor pools, an on-site spa, tennis and padel courts, and a play area for children, this place has appeal for both couples and families. The restaurant cooks up delicious dishes that celebrate local ingredients from land and sea, and has an upmarket, romantic feel, while the stylish wine bar serves refreshments day and night.
