"Sim Sim Cafe is meant for sharing. The Uzbek and Turkish mains are more like mounds, and the appetizers are mostly $6, so ordering all of them makes financial and delicious sense. To start, get the haydari and hummus, which comes with a soft, sesame seed-coated bread that’s easy to mindlessly eat like popcorn. But save room for the wide pile of pilav topped with tender lamb chunks and bits of carrot, raisins, and chickpeas. The restaurant has windows decorated to look like a Turkish mosque, and inside there are enough large tables to accommodate big families ready to order an obscene amount of dips, kebabs, and meat-based salads." - mariana trabanino, virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer
